Join us for an afternoon of community story sharing, solidarity and connection.

ACON, in collaboration with the Kirketon Road Centre (KRC), Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP) and NSW Users and AIDS Association (NUAA), will hold a special event marking International Overdose Awareness Day.

Supported by the Surry Hills Community Drug Action Team, this event on Gadigal country will feature LGBTQ+ community members sharing their lived and living experience of substance use and overdose, alongside local harm reduction legends on some of the amazing work being done in the sector to combat overdose.

We will traverse stories of grief, hope and resistance, honour those lost to overdose, and share ways we all can be involved and play a role in ending overdose.

Harm reduction and providing alcohol and other drugs support have been important aspects of ACON’s work. Be part of this special community event during our 40th anniversary.

This is a free event. Speaker announcements coming soon.

The event is on level one and is accessible via a lift.

This event is supported by Surry Hills CDAT, and in collaboration with KRC, SWOP, and NUAA.
